    Notes

The Historical Archive of Antioquia, Medellín, Colombia contains six entries which document measures to deal with leprosy. These date from 1785 until 1893. The archives also contain 1936 and 1939 editions of the journal Clinical Bulletin.

The records deal with taxes on liquor for the support of the Hospital of San Lazarus of Cartegena; public health measures to control the outbreak of disease (1810, 1811); the use of vaccine against smallpox (1816); and directives to ensure the isolation of lepers (1893).

The 1936 issues of Clinical Bulletin deal with leprosy in Colombia by Luis Carlos Grau, and the 1939 articles include a report on leprosaria by Pastor T Velazco.
