    Notes

    The National Archives of Mali contain Annual Medical Reports for Kayes (from early 1902, 1904, 1905, 1906), for Koulikoro (1904), Niger (1913-1917), and the Soudan (Mali) 1926. There are Monthly Medical reports from Bamako, Gaoua, Djenne, Dori, Timbuktu, Bougouni, Bandiagara, Bafoulabe, Keo (1904-1909). In addition there are Annual and Monthly Medical Reports from Haut-Senegal-Niger 1905, 1906 and 1909-1940 respectively. Correspondence from the Health Inspector (1904); correspondence relating to segregation of leprosy patients (1909); notices from the Minister for the Colonies (1909); from the Governor General of French Western Africa to the Governor of the Soudan (Mali) (1938) and administrative correspondence (1939) are also part of this archive. There is a report on study conducted into the regions around the Niger (1907); and a report on the mission in 1907, which describes a study conducted by Bamako's laboratory staff. There is material relevant to the administration of Segou (1904-1929) and Bamako (1927-30) and there are also letters from patients to the High Commissioner of French West Africa at Dakar on the subject of complaints against the doctor in charge of Bamako in 1945.
