    Notes

The archive material housed at TLM England and Wales consists of reports, short stories, and booklets from the 1940s onwards, both on Mission hospitals and other leprosy organisations. The reports in the archive are of the Council of the Mission to Lepers from 1945 and 1946 and TLM Hong Kong Auxiliary Annual Reports from 1966/67, 1968/69 and 1971/72.

The booklets include publications by Stanley Browne, such as The Diagnosis and Management of Early Leprosy (1975) and Leprosy in the Bible (1979); A D Askew, eg The Tree of Life (1968) and A Sound of Marching (1968) (the story of the Purulia leprosy home and hospital) and A Donald Miller, eg Two Pioneers at Poladpur and What Happened (1962) and A Ship! A Ship! (1968). There are also stories of the work done at Nyankanda in the Belgian Congo, Chandag Leprosy Hospital, Uttranchal, Inida and at the Schieffelin Leprosy Research and Training Centre, Karigiri. These and other booklets are of an advisory, educational and historical nature.
