Two of the collections of the Hoover Institution Archives contain some material pertinent to the history of leprosy.
The Alice Park Papers (1883-1957) were created by Alice Park between 1861-1961. This collection consists of diaries, correspondence, pamphlets, clippings, leaflets, and peace buttons, relating to pacifism and the peace movement, the Ford Peace Ship Expedition, feminism, socialism, the labor movement, prison reform, child labor legislation, civil liberties, and a variety of other reform movements in the United States.
The subject file (1915-1951) in this collection contains articles, pamphlets, correspondence, and newspaper clippings arranged alphabetically by title or subject. Box 10 – Leprosy
American Children's Fund Records, 1923-1950 contains correspondence, memoranda, reports, minutes, financial records, and printed matter, relating to funding of the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boys' Clubs of America and other organizations carrying out work in the areas of child health and welfare in the United States. The office file (1920-1953) in this collection contains correspondence, memoranda, reports, financial records, minutes of meetings, printed matter and other materials. Box 11/4 contains a file on the Wood (Leonard) Leprosy Fund, 1930-1932.
