    Chiefly letters (1917-1957) by Ruth Esther Parker and her husband Emmons E. White (clergyman) relating to their work as missionaries in southeastern India (mainly Tamil Nadu), especially their interests in education and care of children, famine relief, a hospital for people affected by leprosy, Christian churches in the region, and Tamil music; together with letters (1913-1917) written by White while a student at Mount Holyoke College, letters to the Whites from relatives and friends including their son, Robin, diaries, speeches, writings, biographical material, notebooks, and photos.
