This archive contains documents from the Sisters of Love of Tilburg, who served in Suriname as nurses in the Catholic leprosarium, St Gerardus Majella, and the State leprosarium, Groot-Chatillon, and who worked there with the Redemptorists. It contains diaries, letters, chronicles, pictures, maps and reports. There are also dossiers about the beatification of the redemptorist Petrus Donders, a famous Dutch priest/care-taker of leprosy patients at the early nineteenth century Catholic leprosarium of Batavia.
