    Jose Guerrero Tolentino (1900-1983) was a prominent private medical practitioner in dermatology in the Philippines from 1949 to the 1970s. He was resident physician to Eastern Visayas Treatment Station in Cebu, 1929-1930; resident physician at Eversley Childs Sanitarium in Cebu from 1930 to 1937; head of Eversley Childs Sanitarium from 1937 to 1949; research leprologist at the Leonard Wood Memorial in Cebu, 1951 to 1963; head of the Clinical Research Branch, Philippine Division, LWM, Cebu, 1963 to 1971. Tolentino retired from the LWM in 1971 although he continued part-time as a consultant. He was one of the founders of Cebu Institute of Medicine in 1957 and a member of its Board of Trustees. He authored and coauthored numerous papers on leprosy.
