    Notes

William Tebb (October 22, 1830 - January 23, 1917) was a British merchant, vaccination critic, and author of anti-vaccination books. Though not a medical professional, he developed a theory that vaccines were responsible for the spread of leprosy. In his books, he advocated against compulsory isolation programs for leprosy patients, highlighting the inhumane treatment of patients.
