Jesushilfe, Jerusalem, (1866-1939) was founded in 1865 by the Pomeranian Baroness von Keffenbrink as a centre for leprosy patients. It was opened in Jerusalem in 1867.
In 1881, the Provincial of the Moravian Community took over the responsibility, and administration was carried out by three members of the general synod, from 1913, in Herrnhut.
The local committee from the Moravian community in Jerusalem undertook local supervision. In 1917, the leprosy centre became a Foundation, and administration was taken over by the British Provincial Community.
