This archive has some documents that are of interest to historians of leprosy statistics. In the archives of the ‘Gouvernement’ both the Colonial Reports (Koloniale Verslagen) and the Public Health records (Maatschappelijke Zorg) offer statistics of the “asylum for lepers and mentally ill” (Leprozen- en Krankzinnigengesticht). There also dossiers of medical officers asking permission to visit the Berlin Leprosy Conference of 1897 and a report of a journey to a leprosy island at Port of Spain and more.
