The asylum is situated at the riverside. Men and women are separated. At the right side, there are three houses for the women, at the left side four houses for the men. In the center there is a chapel, a pharmacy and a house for the non-leprosy caretaker. Rev Ponnighaus, who is in charge of the asylum, goes often there, and a small motorboat is of great value for these visits.
There are many difficulties and the asylum is very short of money. In the first quarter of 1930, the expenses of the work amounted to S.$5824.38 and the income to S.$4119.04
