The University of Florida, Department of Special Collections, holds two collections relevant to leprosy:
1. Peter Henry Rolfs Collection, 1892-1943.
The Correspondence and Subject files, (1921-1943) of Rolfs, Peter Henry, (1865-1944) documents Rolfs’ tenure as the first director of the Escola Superior de Agricultura e Veterinaria do Estado de Minas Gerais, em Viscosa, and as Consultor Technico to the Department of Agriculture for the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. Correspondence is most extensive for the years 1932-1933. The subject files include trip reports by Rolfs and others describing rural conditions in Brazil, primarily in the state of Minas Gerais, and Rolfs’ reports to the Secretario de Agricultura for Minas Gerais and include the subject of the cultivation of plants for the treatment of leprosy.

2. In addition, in Series P4, in the Collection “Office of the President. Albert Alexander Murphee. Administrative policy records, 1909-1927”, Box No 19, there is correspondence to do with “Gwyn, M K, Leprosy Research” and in Box No 20 “Leigh T R to M K Gwyn, Leprosy Treatment”.
