    Notes

The National Archives of Cambodia hold French period administrative documents, which include papers that relate to specific leprosaria in Cambodia and to certain doctors and reports on leprosy in Cambodia on a more general level. The individual leprosaria reports are of those at Stung Treng (1908-1915), Prey Veng (1914, 1917-1920), Troeung (1932, 1937) and Kompong Cham (1937).

Documents relating to the work of doctors show Dr Pierre Vernier’s (doctor at l’hôpital de Versailles) travels around Indo-China (1937), the laboratory research carried out by Major-Pharmacist Alexis and Dr Menaut (1924), and Dr Barbezieux’s mission to study the leprosy situation in various parts of the Union (1915). There are also documents pertaining to the United Nations' leprosy survey in 1930. More general documents deal with leprosy in Cambodia and dossiers of leprosy patients.
